Hello! I’m Brittany Somerville and made the exciting move from Pennsylvania to North Carolina in 2016. Since then, I’ve grown to absolutely love calling NC home. As a dedicated mortgage loan officer, my mission is to help clients achieve their homeownership dreams by simplifying the often-stressful process. When my wife and I were going through the process of purchasing our first home, we initially tried working with a large, national lender with a digital-first approach. At first, things were fine - until we started running into issues that didn’t perfectly fit into their canned “process”, and it was impossible to get a knowledgable human on the phone to help us. Loan Programs
Conventional
The classic loan type - with lower downpayments this will require private mortgage insurance, but I have a lot of options to help.
FHA
Gov't sponsored program that helps borrowers who can't afford a high down payment or who may have credit score issues.
USDA
These loans are gov't backed and are 0% down programs that help set you up with loans as long as the house isn't in the middle of a city.
VA
VA loans are a benefit to our veterans. They're low interest rate loans with no downpayment required.
